Embryonic Agriculture

About Solution

Our solution aims at reducing hunger, Malnutrition and food borne diseases to world Population. Biofit feeds is Africans' pioneer in production of clean healthy foods. We started in 2017 by producing our first product "Aquaprotein" a clean animal feed produced from invasive water hyacinth plant. This protein is sold locally in Kenya as livestock feed to smallholder farmers and even feed industries. With this technology, we adopted circular economy by turning water hyacinth waste and menace in Lake Victoria into sustainable animal feed product.

We faced slight resistance to penetrate the market with this feed product. We decided to research on alternative means of clean food production. And today, with the spirit of producing clean foods, Biofit has launched a new product "Embiom" clean food produced from a new technology "Embryonic Agriculture. This the first ever technology proven by Biofit feeds of increasing the mass and weight of embryos since embryos are made of living cells.

Once the increase in mass and weight has been achieved the embryos are processed and packaged as clean food. With this technology, no land is required to produce and time taken to produce food is reduced. This means we will provide access to affordable food, reduce hunger, malnutrition and food borne diseases. At the same time we will reduce emissions in foods and environments during production.

We activate the seeds in a medium solution and provide the embryo with nutrients for growth. After 7 days, we harvest double of of the weight. So it means we sell extra weight to our customers. Our revenues and profits are derived from extra weight gained and sold. Our customers are value added re-sellers, who then produce foods to human or animals.

Our product is unique; it is cheap, clean food produced with no fertilizer, chemical synthetic boosters/sprays and has zero food borne diseases. Embiom is rich in nutrients, takes shorter time and saves energy. Lastly, our technology does not produce emissions to the environment; no mechanization involved.

Most of food production systems such as massive land cultivation takes long and has been corrupted with the rise use of chemicals. The result non-communicable food-borne diseases in foods has taken another angle. Besides this leading in climate change it is quite in order to say worlds’ nutrition and health has been compromised. This eventually led to lose of livelihoods and the future sustainability of our planet is in question.
