Our company is dedicated to expanding access to low cost capital to low income entrepreneurs living in urban slums to build poverty-smashing businesses like schools in partnership with the world’s leading companies through our “impact trade” model.
As we presented to the WTO’s AGM in Genva last year, the fundamental problem in development is that we’ve built a worldwide economy that essentially funnels value from the developing world to the developed – the vast majority of final sale value for any given product that flows from the developing world is captured by enterprises in the developed world. Creating real impact requires us to fundamentally reverse that trend and build a system that funnels value back from the developed world to low income communities.
