moral fiber - true textile recycling

About Solution

Waste clothing is a massive problem. It is the single largest individual source of plastic pollution worldwide, as upwards of 80 billion pounds of polyester is consumed as fibers and subsequently discarded per year.

Currently, >98% of this material cannot be recycled and ends up in landfills and oceans as microfibers.

Ambercycle has developed a revolutionary new biochemical process to convert old textiles into new fibers. These fibers are branded as moral fiber, and can be used in the manufacturing of new clothing.

moral fiberis similar to traditional petroleum-derived polyester, however costs significantly less & results in >90% less energy consumption. These fibers will be integrated into the supply chains of large apparel brands, in order to convert fashion (the second most polluting industry in the world) into a truly circular one.
