Weather and geographical location of Kenya is very suitable for fish farming business. Due to High demand and price of fish in the market and by using modern fish farming techniques, maximum production is possible. This will make the economy strong and ensure availability of required nutritious food. And fish has great potential to solve part of this problem of micronutrient malnutrition that is prevalent among young children and women in the region. With this structure of Raised Ponds for catfish farming will create great source of income for our team if able to scale it up.
The project will increases agricultural productivity through the deployment of proven and high-performance agricultural technologies at scale along selected value chain. This will encourage farmers who do not own any land to venture into fish farming. The technology will give an opportunity to start fish farming, Value Addition, quality feed production and production of quality fast growing fingerlings for women and youths who do not own land in urban regions in Kenya.
